My recent visit to RIVA RIVER RESORT with family and friends left me with mixed feelings. While the location was promising and the food satisfactory, the overall experience was marred by several shortcomings that significantly impacted our stay. Upon arrival, despite pre-booking five rooms, the check-in process was unexpectedly cumbersome. Despite reaching the resort at a reasonable hour, it took an agonizingly long 1.5 hours for them to allocate the rooms. Disappointingly, the rooms weren't even ready upon our arrival, leaving us to wait outside while they were being prepared. Our simple request to have our rooms together was disregarded, adding to the frustration of the delayed check-in process. The lack of coordination and responsiveness from the front desk, particularly Mr. Nicolus, only exacerbated the situation. His incompetence was glaring, and it reflected poorly on the hotel's management. It was evident with the fact tap and hand shower was not functioning in couple of our rooms. Speaking of management, the hotel manager, Mr. Suraj, demonstrated a concerning lack of ownership and accountability. Despite multiple attempts to reach out to him regarding various issues, including check-in process.This lack of attentiveness to guest concerns was disappointing and highlighted a glaring gap in customer service. On a brighter note, the food served at the resort was commendable, and the staff, excluding management, were courteous and accommodating. However, the overall experience was overshadowed by the management's incompetence and lack of responsiveness. Despite its shortcomings, one redeeming aspect of RIVA RIVER RESORT is its favorable location, with easy access to the beach. However, this alone cannot compensate for the numerous shortcomings encountered during our stay. In conclusion, while the potential for a pleasant stay exists at RIVA RIVER RESORT, it is overshadowed by poor management, lack of accountability, and a disregard for guest satisfaction.

Budget Friendly Resort with good access to a clean beach

The resort is huge very big and spacious and has a private access to the Mandrem beach which was very clean and had some lovely shacks where we enjoyed eating and playing in the waters. The resort rooms are old and tacky not exactly a 4/5 star kind of experience, the breakfast spread was just about ok nothing to rave about and the food & service at their restaurants is appalling, food quality very low and service quality even lower so I would rate that a 2 out of 5. They definitely need to revamp their bf buffet and look into their food quality. Overall if you’re low on budget, don’t want to spend more on accommodation yet stay close to the beach I would say Riva is a good bet.

My experience at Riva from start to end was perfect. The hotel staff was extremely helpful whether it was 3am or 9pm they were at your service when you asked for it. Nicholas, the hotels manager was a game changer at the hotel, his kindness and hospitality made our ‘reunion mommies trip’ just perfect. He ensured we were given spacious rooms considering we were 3 girls, sent us some wine & cake making it extra extra memorable. The property was extremely clean and so were the rooms. Breakfast was wholesome and had live counters. Swimming pool despite being used constantly was perfectly clean and didn’t have a single bug or leaves or anything of that sort floating around (which is typical at a resort) food was scrumptious too. The proximity to the beach too was perfect!! All in all would rate it highly and recommend for all to experience!

The beach tour for me and my friends are wosam for the first time in beach in India. The people's are very good beabhevar, with everyone. The hotel service is good 👍 the food we eat is 7 sea food. We are enjoying so lot that my words are don't fulfilled it if you went there today i guaranteed that you find peace and enjoy unconditional and you forget all about your life just focus on everything thanks.
